What gives Bowling Green State University's small-college atmosphere a big educational advantage?
With 43 miles of exterior fiber cable, more than 3.3 million feet of interior building cable and over 34,000 access points in classrooms, labs, residence hall rooms and offices across two campuses BGSupernet is a massive technology infrastructure that lives up to its name. As part of this ambitious project, Buckeye TeleSystem helped BGSU develop technological capabilities that are the envy of colleges nationwide. From enabling campus-wide digital video, expanded distance learning and academic research via Internet2, to laying the groundwork for wireless technology, Buckeye TeleSystem is helping to advance the frontiers of teaching, learning and research at BGSU.
"Buckeye TeleSystem is helping us to create a state-of-the-art technological infrastructure. With their expertise, service and commitment, we've been able to provide our students and faculty with enhanced distance learning opportunities, faster and broader research capabilities and advanced communications - between classrooms, between campuses and between countries."
